Most products offered through the Buffalo Chip™ are items intended by the manufacturer for use exclusively within the academic market. In most cases, the software is Fully Packaged Product (FPP) and is exactly the same as the full retail product sold by the non-education retailer, the only difference being the price. Our contractual relationship with software and hardware manufacturers strictly requires that you qualify to purchase academic products.
Due to restrictions levied by the U.S. Export Control Act, we cannot conduct sales internationally or ship outside the United States. This restriction does not apply to foreign students, faculty, and staff who are assigned to programs of an accredited academic institution in the US for at least one academic year. However, transactions must be completed in the US. Such customers are urged to check with their respective foreign governing authorities regarding the importation requirements (i.e., customs duties, fees, restrictions, documentation, etc.) for their computer and/or software purchases upon subsequent return to their home countries.
University policy strictly dictates that we cannot sell or provide our customer list to anyone. Please be assured that order and customer information you submit to us is strictly confidential, except as needed to verify eligibility and complete the purchase transaction. Your privacy and purchase security is extremely important to us-We WILL NOT compromise your trust.
Merchandise advertised on our site is subject to availability from our on-hand inventory or through our extensive network of most major national educational distributors. Products offered from our various on-line education vendors are purchased directly from them, either on-line or through their toll-free telephone fulfillment number. Availability, pricing, software version changes, various product configurations and specifications are subject to change without notice. Orders are processed no later than two business days after receipt of your order and, if necessary, verification of purchaser's eligibility. We then will advise you of current availability of stock or backorder status and the expected shipping date. Manufacturer discontinuation or removal of product from market can occur without notice and we therefore, can only notify purchasers about such changes after the fact. If the product(s) you order are no longer available or have backorder status with the manufacturer or distributor of more than 30-days, we will so advise you, giving you the option of selecting another comparable product or canceling your order.
Your request to cancel an order must be received by us no later than one business day prior to products being offered to the shipper.
